NaBloPoMo Day Twenty Three: Deep Dives And Reactions: Chapter And Verse by Gabby Barret.

Alright, so I've done a couple Gabby Barrett reactions on here before and I absolutely love her! I've been a fan since some time in 2021 after Goldmine came out and I'm super excited to listen to this new album (and the upcoming one, gosh I'm behind)!

I've heard Cowboy Back, Glory Days, Growin' Up Raising You and You're My Texas.

If I had to rank them, it'd look like this:

   #4: You're My Texas.

   #3: Glory Days.

   #2: Growin' Up Raising You.

   #1: Cowboy Back.

   The Chapter:

I really relate to this song, it's beautiful! I also really like how Track One is The Chapter and the last song is called The Verse10/10.

   Cowboy Back:

So I think this one is inarguably my favorite! I first heard it when she played it at the Stagecoach festival in what, 2022 or something? It reminds me very much of several characters I write about and I already wrote a post about it so if you want to know more, you can find that here! 10/10.

   Dance Like No One's Watching:

I really love this one too! I knew Luke Combs wrote it but I hadn't heard he sung back up on in! I'm really gonna cry through this whole freaking album, ain't I? Anyway, 10/10.

   Glory Days:

Finally, a peppy song after a schmaltzy tearjerkery one! I really like this song, I will never understand how it didn't get more radio airplay (and it may have elsewhere, it just didn't get any on my station). It's a really good song and I liked the Music Video a lot too! 10/10.

   Had It All:

This is another tearjerker! Good gosh, Gabby! Please, I didn't want to cry today! It's basically a less sad version of Miranda Lambert's "The House That Built Me". 10/10.

   Hard To Read:

Ok, this song is me and I am this song! It's a great song, but as Miranda Lambert once said "to love her is to learn her". 10/10.

   Growin' Up Raising You:

Okay, so apparently she's staggered the tracklist with one tearjerky song about life and love and then a love song! Okay, that's good! I don't know how it must feel to be twenty four, married with three kids. She's basically a child herself. In a world where some people don't have their first kid until they're like twenty six or more, that's a feat. And then she has a career on top of that! I did a post on this one too, find that here! 10/10.

   Off The Highway:

That is how it is, one tearjerker one love song! It's good, it gives you time to process the last song and mentally prepare for the next one! I really liked this song, it feels like an updated version of Pick Me Up! 10/10.

   You're My Texas:

Never mind, we have a double love song! I really like this one a lot! I wrote a post for it too, here it is! 10/10.

   Jesus On A Train:

This is a beautiful song, I love how unashamed Gabby is to tell people about the Lord, that's rare and even dangerous in this day and age. This reminds me of that old Reba Mcentire song, The Christmas Guest. 10/10.

   Grow Apart:

I love this one immensely! I think every song gets better! I keep saying "this is my favorite", "no, this one is", "no, this one is definitely my favorite!" It's so nice to hear a song about a healthy relationship that has good roots that will last for a lifetime! 10/10.

   God, Money & Love:

What a title! The three big motivators in modern day life! This is a beautiful song, and as I've said, may be my favorite! 10/10.

   All My Of Life:

Again, this song is me and I am this song! This whole album front to back should be played at a wedding, baby shower, picnic, road trip, room cleaning day, authoring session, and whatever else! 10/10.

The Verse: Doxology (Amen) (Featuring Phil Wickham):

Wow, well that went by quicker than I anticipated! I really love this one! The From Whom All Blessings Flow Doxology is one of the hymns my mom used to sing a lot and I really love it! This rendition is great and positively beautiful! I also adore Phil Wickham's stuff so that's cool! 10/10.

The Total:

Alright, so I really loved this! The total is 140! I'll add that to the album chart and see how it ranks with everything else! See y'all later!
