Ally's Bookcase: June 2024 Reads:

Hello y'all, welcome to a new series! So for me, June was a month for a writing retreat but I found time to read a piece!

#1: Mary Pope Osborne's Magic Tree House The Graphic Novel: Book Four: Pirates Past Noon adapted by Jenny Laird.

I read this one on Libby (I 9/10 recommend Libby, it's super great)! A lot of my teen years were spent reading Magic Tree House so these Graphic Novels are just great! Before this one, I've read and own in person Dinosaurs Before Dark and The Knight At Dawn.  I have not though, read Mummies In The Morning yet because my local Walmart store quit keeping The Graphic Novels right after The Knight At Dawn came out, my local library doesn't have any of them and Libby doesn't have it either.
I read this one between a hard copy I got from my local library (through chapter eleven) and the rest of the way through the Audiobook I borrowed from Libby. I was very impressed, having going in pretty free of Narnian knowledge. (Mind you, I have seen the stageplay of The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, of which I also once read an picture book of, and listened to my girlfriends obsess over Peter, Edmund and Caspian in my early teen years. I will be finishing the series, probably by way of Audiobooks, unless I decide to read my very own personal hard copy of Voyage Of The Dawn Treader.
