Blogmas 2023: Day Twenty Nine/Day Five Of The Twelve Days Of Christmas: Getting My Ducks In A Row In The New Year: Fighting With Lore.

  Blogmas Day Twenty Nine:

Alrighty y'all, so as we know, it's like two days until New Year's (which means I've got a whole lot of stuff to get done, but let's sit THAT aside for a second) and talk about one of my favorite and least favorite topics: lore.

Lore is something that you certainly can't live with and I dare you to try living without. It makes a book (or book series or even a movie series) so rich and lived in and when done right, can even distract from an otherwise crappy installment of a series *cough cough* (I've attempted to fix a book or two through this lifeline and yeah, dumpster fire)...

But that's all gonna change in 2024! My resolution is to get all my writing stuff together (all the lists, worldbuilding stuff, lore, characters, backstories, family lineage, playlists, Headcanons, theories, all that stuff).

I wrote six books in 2023, which honestly ain't bad (could be better, but it ain't bad). On the contrary, I started writing fifteen other books that haven't gotten done and I've got thirteen projects from past years that ain't done neither.

In comparison, I finished three books in 2022, and five in 2021. 2021 was really my first year of getting serious with my writing and fourteen books later, I couldn't be more in love with this hobby and (hopefully) potential career path.

On my mental vision board, I want to hopefully get one of my original stories copyrighted and Indie Published in 2024. I'd like to top my book and word count maybe.

Who knows what the future holds? I don't, you don't, only God does. But I'm gonna dream and pray and wish and hope then dream and pray and wish and hope all over again.

   Goodnight, y'all! 😎
